What kinds of studios is Catomni for?
Catomni is built for martial arts studios first — MMA, Taekwondo, Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and every discipline between. The same structure fits dance, ballet, and yoga studios: classes, programs, families, and progression are the shared backbone.
How do payments work?
You connect your own Stripe account to your studio. Membership subscriptions and card payments run through it, so revenue settles directly with you — Catomni never sits between you and your money. Cash and check payments are recorded alongside card history, and refunds and receipts are handled in the same place.
Do parents get their own login?
Yes. Parents and guardians have a portal with their students’ schedule, billing, progress, and messages. They can check students in, manage their own payment details, and — where the studio allows it — pause or cancel their membership themselves.
How does check-in work?
Four ways: staff check students in from the front desk, a kiosk tablet scans printed QR cards with its camera, staff can scan QR cards directly, and parents can check in from the portal. Every method lands in the same attendance record, with late arrivals and early departures tracked.
Can I track belts and ranks?
Yes. Programs carry milestones — your belt or rank ladder, with badge artwork — and you award them student by student, with a photo and notes if you like. Each student also carries a current rank, and a per-program progress table shows where everyone stands.
How do families with several students work?
The family is the unit: one account holds multiple guardians and students, with per-guardian pickup, payment, and emergency-contact permissions. Membership plans support family discounts for multiple students, and a privacy mode keeps separated households separate.
Can I run more than one studio?
Yes. One login can hold roles in several studios, with a switcher and a cross-studio overview that aggregates the numbers. Students can even be linked across studios.
Do I have to change payment processors?
There’s no new merchant account. You connect your own Stripe account, and memberships and card payments run through it.
Is there an app to install?
No. The dashboard, the family portal, and kiosk check-in all run in the browser, on a computer, tablet, or phone.
How is my studio’s data protected?
Every staff member gets a role with only the access it needs, sensitive actions are recorded in an audit log, and Catomni is built by Shannon Cyber Services, a software and security engineering company.
How do I get started?
